Teaching Philosophy
At Krippner Swimming & Safety, we believe swim lessons should be personal, progress-focused, and fun. Every child is different, and every lesson should be too.
That’s why we specialize in private and small-group instruction for kids ages 1–12. Unlike the large group classes offered at many swim schools, our approach gives each child the attention, encouragement, and flexibility they need to succeed. There’s no waiting in line for a turn or struggling to keep up with the group, just focused, supportive instruction tailored to each swimmer’s comfort level and learning pace.
We work with swimmers of all abilities, including children with disabilities, and adapt each lesson to meet their individual needs. Our calm, one-on-one approach is especially effective for kids who benefit from extra patience, structure, or sensory consideration.
Private lessons allow us to:
Build trust and rapport quickly
Adjust techniques in real time
Focus on safety without distraction
Celebrate small wins and reinforce confidence at every step
We make fun a core part of the learning process. When swim lessons feel playful and positive, kids relax, stay engaged, and absorb skills more naturally. We believe that fun isn’t a distraction from learning, it’s how learning sticks.
Our approach blends structure with play, and technique with encouragement. Our goal is that every swimmer leaves feeling stronger, more capable, and excited for the next lesson.
Meet The Coaches
A lifetime of competitive swimming and nearly a decade of playing water polo have . Over time, I found a passion for teaching, and I’ve been helping kids build water skills ever since.
I believe every child deserves lessons that match their pace, challenge them just enough, and make the experience fun. My focus is always on creating a space where kids feel safe, supported, and proud of what they’re accomplishing in the water.
